Xbox One Amber Light of Death?

As many of you know, Xbox One has been selling well, and has even surpassed the PlayStation 4’s sales at one point. Xbox One is a great console, except for the reports of an amber light of death, which could be caused by overheating. Hopefully, this problem won’t be sporadic as the red light of death. Luckily, the reports are in very little quantity, so we know this isn’t that big of a problem.

Not only are there amber lights, but reportedly, some Xbox One systems are smoking, which is an after-effect of the amber light. When the amber light occurs, and error message states an error message similar to OSX’s kernel-panic, appears on the screen. It states: ‘System Error, CONTACT XBOX SUPPORT’.

Hopefully Microsoft will fix this in a future firmware update, but for now, try not to play for excessive amounts of time, to prevent overheating.
