Nintendo Direct: 02/13/2014

Nintendo recently broadcast a new Nintendo Direct presentation, where all the latest announcements were made.

A new Super Smash Bros trailer was shown, introducing Little Mac as a new character.  Nintendo maintain a 2014 release for the game.

Mario Golf World Tour introduced a new single player mode called Castle Club.  It is scheduled to release on 2nd May 2014.

A number of collectibles were announced for Kirby Triple Deluxe, and the game will also include StreetPass functionality by exchanging items with people.  The game also launches on 2nd May 2014.

More footage and gameplay for Yoshi’s New Island was shown, and the game is scheduled to release on 14th March 2014.

The new Steel Diver game was shown as a first person shooter, with two versions available – a free version and a premium version, which offers more solo missions and submarine types.  The game is out now on the Nintendo eShop.

A free game called Rusty’s Real Deal Baseball is available from the eShop this April.

Pokémon Link: Battle! was announced a new action puzzle game for the 3DS eShop.  It will feature all known Pokémon, and will support 4-player co-op play.  The game launches on 20th March 2014.

A new trailer for the 3DS exclusive Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy was shown, as well as demonstrating new Street Pass functionality.  The game is scheduled for release on 28th February 2014.

Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate was announced to arrive on the 3DS in “early 2015”.

Weapon Shop is another new exclusive 3DS eShop game, available from 20th February 2014.

Inazuma Eleven was announced for a western release, and will be available from the eShop today.

Nintendo Pocket Football Club was announced for the 3DS, and will be available on the eShop on 17th April 2014.

A new trailer for Donkey Long Country: Tropical Freeze was shown.  The game is scheduled for release on 21st February.

NES Remix 2 was announced for the Wii U, incorporating different NES games, where some games have been modified with fresh new elements, including a bonus game Super Luigi Bros. It will be available on 25th April 2014.

GameBoy Advance titles will make their way to Wii U Virtual Console.  They will begin to release from April 2014.

A new trailer for Mario Kart 8 on the Wii U was shown.  It will be released on 30th May 2014.

A new trailer for Bayonetta 2 was released.  The game will be released as a Wii U exclusive later this year.
