This will be a rather short article, but the recently popular app, “Flappy Bird”, will be gone tomorrow (February 9th, 2014). The indie game developer Dong Nguyen who lives in Hanoi, Vietnam stated that 22 hours from now, he will take the game down. He went on to state that, “it’s not for legal reasons”, and, “I just can’t keep it anymore.”

Multiple people have tried to get in touch with Nguyen to buy the rights to Flappy Bird, but he has stated that he will not sell it. Some speculated that Nintendo cracked down on him due to the use of art from the popular platformer, Mario. This whole ordeal has blown up on Twitter and has people wondering why someone would take down such a popular game. Others are simply saying good riddance.

What do you think of Flappy Bird? Should it be taken down, or should it remain where it is? Tell us in the comments below!

At least everyone who already had it installed can still “enjoy” the game.
