The Last Of Us: Single Player DLC

10861499774_e819697d81_oNaughty Dog has finally announced some details about their first ever single-player DLC. ‘The Last Of Us – Left Behind’ sees Ashley Johnson reprise her role as Ellie from ‘The Last Of Us’, and is set before the events of the original game.

You play as Ellie throughout ‘Left Behind’, while she is attending a military boarding school in the Boston quarantine zone, prior to meeting Joel. She is joined by her best friend Riley in the military school, and the game will explore the bond between the two girls through a series of events that will “forever change both of their lives”. Given that the bond between Joel and Ellie was a highlight of the critically acclaimed original, this is a wise move from Naughty Dog.

Riley is brought to life by Yaani King through the performance capture process for the game. To learn more about this friendship, the Dark Horse comic series ‘The Last Of Us: American Dreams’ details how Ellie and Riley first became friends.

The DLC will be released in early 2014 and will be available as both a stand-alone purchase, and will be included in the season pass for ‘The Last Of Us’. You can watch the trailer below, and leave us a comment with your thoughts.
