Every day I will do a round up of three-five articles about the tech world where I will comment and hopefully receive feedback from you the reader. I hope this catches on and can become a regular thing for Gear Pop.
Facebook Paper App

Looks like Facebook is at it again with another app to try and make things easier and more fluid. My question is how does Flipboard feel about this obvious rip-off? Not sure if I am going to use it as I currently have an Android based phone and it is currently out for IPhone. Feel free to comment on whether you like the new app if you have used it. This honestly feels like Facebook is just trying to stay relevant and new.

Apple iWatch Smart Battery

Just like the long Rumored Apple television, it has been known that Apple is developing an iWatch to partner with the IPhone. However it is obviously unknown what features are going to be a part of it. One thing that has come out in rumors is how the battery will charge. This news talks about three different ways the watch could hold a charge; solar batteries, kinetic batteries, and wireless charging. Whatever way the watch charges, I still just want to see if it can beat Samsung’s Galaxy watch, which has proven to be an ok first attempt, but not lived up to the hype. Stay tuned…

Amazon Price Increase
Looks like Amazon is looking to raise their prices on Prime by a lot. Currently I am a Prime member, but still on the student discount of $39 a year. I really don’t see the value for $79 let alone $129 a year. Amazon may be entering Netflix territory when the company decided to change things up and were forced to change back due to backlash. If you use Prime, what do you think of the price hike? Let me know in the comments below.
